UI/UX agency for design-conscious brands
We design online stores that are easy to browse and quick to buy from, and web apps that need no manual. We work per project or on a monthly design plan.

We create useful design for stores, websites and web applications
Design for a store, website or app, a rebuild of what already works, and ongoing design for products that grow every month.
UX design and UI design
Structure, user paths and the visual layer of websites, online stores and web apps. Every project starts with data on how customers use the current version.
Ecommerce design
We design online stores around the way your customers shop: from the home page and product page to the cart and checkout.
Redesign of digital products
We start every redesign by analyzing data from the current version, so the new interface fixes what actually bothers users and better supports sales.
Digital design on a subscription
Regular access to experienced designers for a fixed monthly fee. It works well for companies and startups that develop their product every month and don't want to hire a full-time designer.
Stores and apps we have designed
We have worked on projects of every size, from small online stores to platforms run by large companies.

Why us?
A few reasons to hand your interface design to a UX agency.
Design according to usability principles
We design to the principles of usability and interface ergonomics, and we check every design against Nielsen's heuristics before it goes to your team.

100+ UI designs for e-commerce
We have designed more than 100 online stores, from shops with a few dozen products to platforms with thousands of items and wholesale accounts.

Interface designs for well-known brands
We have designed interfaces for companies that operate in many markets, so we know what large organizations need: sign-offs from several departments, brand guidelines and multiple language versions.
A UX agency that starts with your problem
Companies usually come to a UX agency with one of three problems: the store has traffic but doesn't sell, the business needs a new store or app, or the product is growing so fast that there aren't enough hands for design. Each situation calls for a different kind of engagement, so our first call starts with the problem, and only then do we agree on the scope.
Your store has traffic but not enough sales
We look for the places where customers give up: in search results, on the product page, in the cart or in a form. You can roll out the fixes yourself or have us design them. You can see what the design work itself looks like on our UI/UX design page.
You need a new store or app
We start every new design with a workshop with your team, because your sales and support people know best what customers ask about. We hand the finished design to your developers or build it ourselves: websites in Webflow, online stores on Shopify.
Your product changes every month
Ecommerce platforms, customer portals and SaaS apps get new features every month, and each one needs a well-thought-out interface. For products like these we offer a monthly plan; what a month of work on it looks like is described below.
Who works on your project
The person who sits with you at the workshop is the same person who then leads the project and takes your feedback on the wireframes, so nothing has to be explained twice. Our UI/UX designers work on the wireframes and visual design, and a developer joins for Webflow and Shopify builds.
Selected UX agency projects

UX/UI design of an online store for Nizio, a solid wood furniture maker
For Nizio, a family-run company from Biłgoraj, Poland, that makes solid wood beds and furniture, we designed a new online store: from analysing customer behaviour, through UX wireframes, to a complete UI design for desktop and mobile.

UX/UI design for aPress24.pl, an online store for server and gaming hardware
For Apress24.pl, an online store specializing in the sale of server equipment and gaming components, we designed a complete user interface, including all the key screens of the purchasing process, customer panel and product sections.

Sometimes, after an initial consultation, I advise against a complete store redesign because only the product page or the shopping cart actually needs improvement. I would rather a client spend less and return to us with another project than pay for a scope of work they don't need.
Working with a UX agency based in Poland
We're based in Gdańsk, Poland, and most of our clients have never visited our office. We work with companies in North America, Europe and Australia the same way we work with those in our own city, and between meetings we stay in touch on whatever channel your team uses.
More people involved, fewer meetings
Remote work makes it easier to include people who rarely have time for office meetings, such as sales, customer support or developers. Each of them can join only the part of the call that concerns them, and the whole team gets the meeting notes.
What a month on the monthly plan looks like
At the start of the month we agree on a task list: new views, features going into the next release, and fixes based on last month's data. A designer who knows your product works in Figma and hands finished screens to your developers as they are ready, so nobody waits for the end of the month. At the end you get a report of the work done and hours used, and the next month's list is built from what is left and what the data showed.
Questions and answers
What does a UX agency do?
A UX agency is responsible for what happens between a customer landing on your site and a purchase or inquiry: the information structure, the order of steps and the look of every screen. The result is a Figma design that your team or ours builds, plus conclusions from your data that say what to improve first. At Hilvec we work mainly for online stores and web apps.
How much does it cost to work with a UX agency?
At Hilvec, UI/UX design projects and UX audits start at $7,500, and a monthly design plan starts at $2,950 per month. A project usually takes one to two months, an audit about a month. The monthly plan suits companies that develop their store or app every month.
How do you choose a UI/UX agency?
On the first call, ask the UI/UX agency to show you, using your own store as the example, where it would start and why. If the answer begins with data about your customers, that is a good sign. Also ask who personally will do the design and how many stores or apps in your industry they have already designed; at Hilvec you will find both answers in the proposal.
How does a monthly UX design plan work?
A monthly UX design plan starts at $2,950 per month and gives you a fixed pool of hours from a designer who knows your product. You pay the same amount every month, and we agree on the scope at the start of each month, so you can change it along with your company's plans. What a month on the plan looks like is described above, in the section on how we work together.
Should you hire a UX designer or work with an agency?
Count how many screens and changes your company produces in a month. If a designer would have full-time work all year round, hire one: nobody from outside will be closer to the product. If the work comes in waves, around a new feature or a campaign, a UX agency brings experience from many industries without the cost of recruiting and time off, and a monthly plan combines the two: the same designer, without the payroll.
How should we prepare for a UX workshop?
Before a workshop with a UX agency, three things are enough: access to Google Analytics or whatever tool collects your traffic data, a list of the questions customers ask your support team most often, and the presence of the people who sell to and support customers every day. No wireframes or brief are needed; we bring the questions, and we write the workshop results down in one document for the whole team.
Do you design for companies outside Poland?
Yes. We have designed online stores for the German market, among others, with several language versions and local carriers. We work in English and Polish, and you can comment on the Figma design at any time, without scheduling a meeting. For stores selling in several markets, we also design language and currency switching and the content that differs between countries, such as shipping and returns.
We want to help grow your company no matter where you run it!
