Shopify agency for eCommerce leaders
We first check whether Shopify is the right fit for your store, and only then move on to design and build. Hilvec is a member of the Shopify Partners program.

What we do for Shopify stores
We design the store interface, build it on Shopify, connect payments and shipping, and keep improving the store after launch.
Store UX/UI design
We lay out collections, product pages and the cart from scratch in Figma, or adapt a theme from the Shopify Theme Store to your brand.
Shopify store development
We build your store on a free Shopify development store and transfer it to your account before launch, so you start paying for your Shopify plan only when you start selling.
Integrations and apps
We connect payment and shipping providers, invoicing and apps from the Shopify App Store.
Support after launch
Under a monthly plan, we keep growing the store after launch: we update page layouts, add apps and fix the spots where customers abandon their purchase.
Clients we work with
Companies we have designed and built online stores and websites for.

Why us?
Three things that set us apart as a Shopify development agency.
Designed for usability
We design the purchase path before we get to colors: from the home page through the product page to the cart. We adapt your Shopify theme so that path works in your store, and when the theme isn't enough, we design custom sections.
A small team you talk to directly
We work as a small, stable team. Throughout the project you have one point of contact who leads it, so decisions are made quickly.

We get to know your customers
Before we design the store, we talk about your customers and look at your competitors' stores. We base the design on what your customers look for and what they are used to.

A Shopify agency that helps you choose the right platform
Shopify is not the right fit for every store, and we tell you so before we send a proposal. We have been designing online stores for over 15 years, on Shopify and on other ecommerce platforms, so we compare Shopify with tools we have actually worked with.
When Shopify is a good choice
Shopify works well when you plan to sell in several countries. From one admin you run language versions, prices in local currencies and separate domains. It also suits brands that sell on social media, on marketplaces and in person, because products and inventory live in one place. Hosting, updates and security are included in the subscription, so you don't maintain your own server.
When your current platform may be enough
If your store sells in one market and relies on local accounting, wholesale or warehouse systems, we first check whether those connect to Shopify through ready-made apps. Many regional platforms include such integrations out of the box, and in that case staying on your current platform can be simpler and cheaper. We then design a new look for your store and implement it on your current system, as long as it allows theme changes, the way we have done for years on other ecommerce platforms. Sometimes improving the product page and cart does more than moving to a new platform.
We compare monthly costs, not just the build price
To decide, you need the full cost of running the store. We compare Shopify's subscription, payment fees and paid apps with the costs of another platform at your order volume. Only then can you see which option will cost less in a year or two.
Company website on Webflow, store on Shopify
Many companies need both a website with their offer or catalog and an online store. In that case, we build the website on Webflow and run sales on Shopify. Both share the same look and navigation, and your team can edit each of them on its own. You can read more on our Webflow agency page.
Online stores we have worked on
See how we design and build online stores for our clients.

On Shopify builds, I keep an eye on the number of apps. Each one is another subscription and another script that slows the store down, so we first check what the theme can do on its own.
Does your store need Shopify Plus?
As a Shopify agency, we check whether your sales justify the higher subscription before you switch plans. Shopify Plus features and pricing are covered in the questions at the bottom of the page.
A Shopify agency in Europe that works with you remotely
We work with clients across Europe and beyond. Workshops, design presentations and reviews take place online, in English.
The lowest price from the last 30 days on every promotion
When you run a sale in the EU, your store has to show the product's lowest price from the 30 days before the discount (EU Omnibus Directive, in force since 28 May 2022). Shopify does not do this on its own, so we connect an app that keeps the price history and shows the right amount next to the crossed-out price, on collection pages and in the cart as well. We check it before launch with a test order and a discount code.
Accessibility for customers with disabilities
Since 28 June 2025, the European Accessibility Act has applied to online stores selling to consumers in the EU, with an exemption for microenterprises. If your store falls under it, we check the theme's color contrast, alt text on product images, keyboard navigation and clear error messages in forms. Most of this can be set up in the theme itself, without extra apps.
Store policies, privacy and cookie consent
Your lawyer prepares the terms of service and privacy policy; we add them to the store and link acceptance of the terms to checkout. We set up the cookie consent banner so analytics and marketing scripts only run after the customer agrees, as the GDPR requires, and so that the Google and Meta apps in Shopify respect that choice.
We set up each of these before you start selling, because fixing a store that already takes orders costs more than an hour of configuration at the start.
Questions and answers
How much does it cost to work with a Shopify agency?
Building a Shopify store with us starts at $10,000 if a ready-made theme and a simple setup are enough. We quote custom designs and integrations after a call about your store. Support after launch is a separate monthly plan, sized to how many changes you plan to make.
What does a Shopify agency do?
A Shopify agency designs, builds and improves online stores on the Shopify platform. At Hilvec, that covers UX/UI design, theme setup, payments and shipping, app integrations and store care after launch. Before we start, we compare Shopify's monthly costs with your current platform, so the decision to switch rests on numbers, not on fashion.
Is Hilvec a Shopify Partner?
Yes, Hilvec is a member of the Shopify Partner Program. As a partner, we can build and test your store on a free development store and transfer it to your account before launch, so you start paying for your Shopify plan when you begin selling. At the start of the project, we agree whose account the store is built on and when ownership passes to you.
How is a Shopify agency different from a freelancer?
An agency gives you one team for UX/UI design, development and support after launch, so you don't have to coordinate several contractors. Hilvec is a small agency, and the same people work with you from the first call to launch. A freelancer can cost less for a simple theme setup, but design and integrations usually require help from other specialists.
How do you choose a Shopify agency?
A good test is to ask about monthly costs: an agency that knows Shopify will tell you right away what you will pay for the plan, payment fees and apps at your order volume. Also ask whose account the store will live on and whether the same person will look after it after launch. Finally, open two or three stores the agency has built and add a product to the cart: that shows whether anyone thought about the customer.
When should you move to Shopify Plus?
Shopify Plus usually pays off for high-volume businesses that need a fully customizable checkout, unlimited B2B catalogs or many retail locations. Plans start at $2,300 per month on a 3-year term or $2,500 on a 1-year term (Shopify Plus pricing, October 2026). Before you decide, we check whether the features you need are available on a lower plan. For example, B2B selling with up to three catalogs is already included in the Basic plan.
Do you look after the store after launch?
Yes. Under a monthly support plan, we fix and improve the store, help with technical issues and make UX changes. We plan changes based on Google Analytics and Clarity data, and you receive regular reports on the work done and hours used. That is how we look after the Nedo store, among others.
Do you work with companies outside Poland?
Yes. We build Shopify stores for clients in Poland and abroad. All meetings, from the workshop to Shopify admin training, happen online, in English, and you get access to the development store while we work, so you can follow progress without ever visiting Poland.
We want to help grow your company no matter where you run it!
