Customer expectations

The Apress24.pl team was looking for a design partner who would develop a complete, modern and intuitive graphic design of the online store, adapted to the advanced IT range, but also friendly to less technical end users. Graphic consistency and ease of use throughout the customer's environment, from product viewing to account and order management, were also an important aspect.

Purpose of the site

The main goal was to create an online store that:

• provides a professional image of the technology brand,
• facilitates quick comparison and purchase of server components and gaming equipment,
• supports the purchasing decisions of B2C and B2B customers,
• and enables efficient management of the user account.

Target group

Apress24.pl addresses its offer both to individual customers (gamers, IT enthusiasts) and to business customers: IT administrators, companies dealing with the maintenance and implementation of server infrastructure, and purchasing managers in medium and large enterprises.

Description of the implementation

UX mockups and functional strategy

We started the project with a thorough analysis of the needs of the client and users. We have created a set of UX mockups covering the complete shopping path from the homepage, through the product card, category list, shopping cart, checkout, to the order finalization screen.

An additional element was an extensive customer area, with the option to edit data, order history, the ability to download invoices and manage communication preferences. All these screens have been precisely developed at the mock-up level to simplify interactions as much as possible while providing full functionality.

Graphic design UI

On the basis of mock-ups, we have prepared a complete graphic design of the store. We have taken care of a modern, technological aesthetic, combining darker tones with contrasting accents and large typography that gives the brand an expressive, strong character.

The graphic design was created for implementation in Magento. We have taken into account the component structure and the reusability of the elements. The design remains readable on both desktop and mobile versions.

Visually, we opted for professionalism with a gaming edge. The project balances between the world of e-commerce and the world of hardware enthusiasts, without losing transparency.

Implementation (on the client side)

After the design work was completed, the complete mock-ups and graphic designs were handed over to the development team, which implemented the Magento-based store. Our goal was to provide them with a precise, well-described series of remarks (video recording) that significantly accelerated the development process.

Effects

Apress24.pl has acquired a new, modern interface of the online store, which combines high aesthetics with functionality and comfort of use. The new graphic layer and UX architecture significantly facilitate purchases, reduce the time it takes to make decisions and support the development of the platform in both the B2C and B2B channels.
